SR 415 Widening
Updated: July 2nd, 2008Project Overview:
This project involves the proposed widening of SR 415 from SR 46 in Seminole County to Acorn Lake Road in Volusia County. This project has been divided into three separate design projects.
Design Segment 1 is from SR 46 to south of the St. Johns River Bridge (Osteen Bridge) in Seminole County
Design Segment 2 is from the St. Johns River Bridge to Reed Ellis Road, and includes design of the bridge over the St. Johns River.
Design Segment 3 is from Reed Ellis Road to Acorn Lake Road.
Current Activity:
Plans for Design Segment 1 are at 45% completion and final plans are expected to be completed in 2008. Right of way acquisition is currently funded for 2008. Construction, currently not funded, is scheduled for 2016, though the project timetable likely will be moved up once funding is secured.
Design Segments 2 and 3 are expected to be constructed before Design Segment 1 as they involve bridges spanning the St. Johns River and will require simultaneous construction schedules.
